Which is the best winter sun holiday destination? Maspalomas, Gran Canaria.

I have just (February, 2014) visited Maspalomas, Gran Canaria (Spain) that is absolutely a candidate for the best winter sun holiday. The reasons why I really suggest to spend one week there are the followings:

• The beach is so large that you have never the feeling to be overcrowded;
• The cool breeze does not make you sweat or feel the heat;
• You can swim and play with the waves;
• You can experience the wonderful feeling of walking in a desert;
• You do not miss the most important three S's of summer: Sun, Sea and Sand;
•  You can eat a nice juicy persimmon in the heat of the desert. (This reason is personal and you need to buy a persimmon in a local supermarket).
